Mechanical Engineer

About the role
We’re looking for a driven Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment and enjoys solving real-world problems, troubleshooting equipment, and turning ideas into practical solutions. You’ll lead engineering projects focused on developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment, while working closely with Maintenance, Production, and other engineering teams to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes using proven problem-solving methods.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve throughput, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Work hands-on with Maintenance and Production to diagnose equipment issues and implement solutions.
- Design and run experiments, analyze results, and implement engineering improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that reduce scrap, rejects, downtime, and costs.
- Develop SOPs, documentation, and training for new and improved processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, Maintenance, Production, and other departments to bring projects to life.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of related engineering experience.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing equipment, processes, and materials.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality tools such as SPC, 5S, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and DOE.
- Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, printing, paper equipment, or similar manufacturing processes is a plus.
