Mechanical Engineer Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 Location: Cleveland, OH Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze and commission mechanical systems across commercial, industrial and mission-critical facilities. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design and construction support, with an emphasis on quality, reliability and code compliance for projects such as data centers, manufacturing plants and commercial buildings. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign HVAC, plumbing, boiler, and related mechanical systems, including layouts, schematics, and specifications.Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system analysis to optimize performance.Create and update construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions.Support equipment selection, procurement, submittal reviews, and vendor evaluations.Provide construction administration, RFI responses, site visits, and commissioning support.Ensure quality through QA/QC reviews, inspections, and testing.Apply mechanical, plumbing, energy, and fire codes to maintain compliance.Troubleshoot field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend solutions.Mentor junior engineers and help manage project scope, schedule, and budget.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience designing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, or data center facilities.Knowledge of MEP coordination, mission-critical design, and data center standards.PE license preferred; EIT accepted for mid-level roles.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.Strong understanding of HVAC, hydronics, controls, and equipment selection.
