Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00/hr. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including 9/80, 4/10, or 5/8 work schedules, subject to business needs.
About the Role
This role focuses on leading and executing mechanical design efforts for torpedo test equipment modernization projects. You will design and develop electromechanical assemblies and components, support both legacy system modifications and new product development, and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, testable, and manufacturable solutions. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced sonar, weapons systems, and underwater technology programs within a highly collaborative and technically challenging environment.
Work Environment
This is primarily an onsite role in an office setting, working at a computer and in close proximity to hands-on test and integration activities. You will spend significant time at engineering facilities, including time at NUWC, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interacting directly with customers and technicians. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including 9/80, 4/10, or 5/8 work schedules, subject to business needs. While there is some hybrid flexibility, the role is predominantly onsite due to the hands-on nature of the work and the need for in-person collaboration and customer interaction.
