Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Support and drive plant-wide predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage and support capital improvement projects.
- Affiliate in managing maintenance activities within the plant.
- Collaborate with the Plant Safety Steering Committee and production department to ensure a safe workplace.
- Troubleshoot equipment and conduct root cause analysis.
- Affiliate in maintaining spare parts and supply room inventory.
- Affiliate in ensuring required training is scheduled and performed.
- Help maintain plant ISO QMS and EMS certifications and conduct internal audits.
- Manage outside contractors' performance to ensure successful completion of engineering and maintenance projects.
- Attend team meetings as required.
- Maintain and manage engineering and maintenance records.
- Handle weekly payroll and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-10 years of experience in an engineering role within a plant.
- Project management experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience in maintenance troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design and systems.
- Proficiency with troubleshooting industrial equipment, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with load cells systems, PLCs, and fired burner systems.
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles and systems.
- Familiarity with industrial safety systems (OSHA 1910).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools such as IR scanners and vibration analyzers.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting systems and SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural engineering drawings.
Qualifications
- Experience in tire cord and/or carpet manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work required hours and days to complete essential functions.
- Capability to write a scope of work and use Gantt charts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr. will enter in after offer.
