Mechanical Designer III

About the role

Designer roles encompass the design and implementation of building systems and structures, including specialties such as fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and other mechanical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for large-scale design projects.
• Completes calculations, drawings, and specifications related to the assigned disciplines for large projects, ensuring alignment with project standards and requirements.
• Oversees the entire lifecycle of large projects, including layout development, permit procurement, field surveys, coordination, creation of fabrication lists, responding to field-generated questions, RFI creation, as-builts, and other required documentation and submissions.
• Supports change order processes by providing accurate and timely project information.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced team members, responds to team and field inquiries, and ensures quality, documentation accuracy, and schedule compliance.
• Monitors project design budgets and collaborates effectively across teams to support successful project execution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
