Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and modify drawings and 3D models based on designer or engineering markups.
- Ensure drawings comply with company and client standards.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines such as civil, electrical, and GIS.
- Provide guidance to junior drafting personnel.
- Rigorously review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Guarantee the quality of all work and meet required schedules.
- Support document control and organize drawing files.
- Participate in drawing reviews and coordination meetings.
- Show willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and software.
- Adhere strictly to all corporate safety protocols.
Required Skills and Abilities
- A solid understanding of mechanical engineering concepts.
- Proficiency with CAD and other software packages (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CadWorx Plant, CadWorx P&ID, Isogen, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Google Earth).
- Ability to recognize and communicate design issues/conflicts to supervisors or more senior staff.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organize and prioritize project workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings.
