Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system layouts and construction documents using Revit, IESVE and equipment selection software
• Produce detailed HVAC, process piping and building mechanical designs in accordance with project requirements and engineering direction
• Cook up mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams
• Aid with BIM coordination, model updates, and clash resolution
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions accurately and efficiently
• Support multiple projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines
• Maintain organized, complete, and consistent design documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least two years of Design experience
• Intermediate expertise and experience in the current release of AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience producing construction documents for industrial, commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or similar building types
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, components, and layouts
• Ability to design piping systems for various liquids and gases
• Ability to work from engineering direction and design criteria
• Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
