About the role

Amphenol High Speed Products Group, a division of Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) and Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Designer (Creo) to join our team in Valley Green, PA. ACS is a world leader in interconnect solutions for Communications, Mobile, RF, Optics, and Commercial electronics markets. Our products enable the electronics revolution and serve major Tier 1 OEMs globally.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product development engineers to create high-speed connector product CAD models based on their input and feedback.
  • Employ best modeling practices and advanced feature techniques to capture design intent, facilitate design changes, and enable data reuse (expanding design concepts into product families and derivatives).
  • Create and maintain internal and customer CAD drawings of components and assemblies.
  • Participate in design reviews and interface with Development, Mechanical, Signal Integrity, and Process Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Engineering, CAD, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of Creo Parametric experience with proficiency in Creo Parametric Release 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.
  • High-level skills in Creo Parametric modeling and assembly design, including:
    • Advanced part and assembly features.
    • Reference geometry and shared data.
    • Feature patterns and copies.
    • Surfacing and quilt operations.
    • Top-down design techniques.
    • Family tables.
    • Detailing, dimensional, and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with industry-standard drafting and detailing practices (ANSI, ASME).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies (stamping, molding, plating) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink 11 or 12 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 operating system and standard MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness in work, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
