Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Responsibilities
- Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
- Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
- Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
- Works with design engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
- May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage by performing the following duties.

Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university, Associates Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 plus years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SolidWorks Design software, MS Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Word Processing software.
- Other Qualifications: Advanced skills in 3D solid Modeling/drafting using SolidWorks software, Advanced skills in 2D drafting using AutoCAD, SMAP 3D or DraftSight software, Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5, Intermediate knowledge of machining operations and shop practices, Familiar with and working knowledge of PDM file manager SW.
