Responsibilities

  • Work alongside mechanical engineers to create and modify part and assembly models in 2D and 3D, and generate and modify 2D drawings based on these models.
  • Maintain structured bills of material and parts lists for assemblies.
  • Review drawings for layout, completeness, accuracy, constructability, and adherence to internal design/drafting standards.
  • Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal design/drafting standards.
  • Ensure designs are consistent with internal standards, project technical requirements, and scope.
  • Check assigned drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline groups to ensure quality designs.
  • Ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned design tasks.
  • Act as a key member of the Project Team, interacting with customers and internal/external personnel.
  • Consistently observe and promote Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) site requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Graphics, or Engineering Technology (preferred).
  • Well-organized with the ability to schedule own workload.
  • Ability to comprehend and understand design concepts for large industrial equipment in pharmaceutical and related applications.
  • Acts with integrity in all responsibilities.

Skills

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault.
  • Experience with P+ID and process piping.
  • Experience working with pressure vessels.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Openness to domestic or international travel.
