Mechanical Designer

Faith Technologies Inc. (FTI) is searching for Mechanical Designers to support the Product Engineering team located in Menasha, WI.
Responsibilities
- Performs mechanical designs and calculations under the direct supervision of an Engineer or Team Lead.
- Assists in the preparation of mechanical designs for power and low voltage products.
- Interacts with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering staff on a regular basis.
- Presents technical information during design meetings or reviews.
- Creates and updates 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts components.
- Creates and updates 3D layouts of top-level and sub-level assemblies.
- Prepare Bills of Materials and prepare Change Notices to release components and assemblies.
- Supports the creation of technical manuals for operation and maintenance of related products.
- Self-checks own work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed.
- Works with suppliers to integrate various components into higher level system designs.
- Supports service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of product design experience
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo)
- Experience in sheet metal or heavy fabrication design
- Experience in Mechanical Design and Drafting
- Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes
Preferred
- 5 years of product design experience preferred
- Experience in large 3D assemblies preferred
- Experience in casting, machining, roto-molded components, or fiber-reinforced plastic components preferred
- Experience in electrical components or equipment preferred
Work Schedule
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
