Responsibilities
- Produces 3D models, drawings, and fabrication packages of custom equipment.
- Prepares component, subassembly, and main assembly Creo models.
- Creates detailed fabrication drawing packages.
- Evaluates and selects purchased components.
- Creates detailed Bills of Materials and completes equipment datasheets.
- Establishes model structure and drawing tree architecture for distinct deliverables.
- Maintains file naming conventions and Windchill folders.
- Supports checking of deliverables.
- Conducts design activities following regimented quality assurance / quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in related field.
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Expert proficiency with Creo and Windchill, including strong mechanical design and GD&T application.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated capability in the design of custom equipment and/or containment systems, development of design documentation including fabrication drawings, equipment datasheets and design record documents.
- Experience in the DOE and DOD market segments a plus. Hands-on experience with typical equipment a plus.
- US Citizenship required for client projects.
- Able to acquire a security clearance.
