Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares technical drawings, design layouts, including technical concept models
- Verify other engineering design documentation
- Assists in design concepts and conducting manufacturability reviews
- Support IPT design team in a leadership or supporting role
- Can completely implement engineering design changes
- Manages new product item masters and BOM structures
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong background as a Mechanical Designer
- Knowledge of materials, parts, and processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing and machining techniques
- Knowledge of drawing standards and GD&T system (ASME Y14.5)
- Knowledge of basic Mil-Specs and MIL-STD’s
- Expertise in CAD design
- Effective verbal and written communicator
- Focused on details and quality
- Able to follow direction
- Self-starter, capable of working independently or in a team environment
Education and Experience
- An associate’s degree, in Mechanical Design, (or related field) or relevant experience (preferred)
- One Year Certificate in Industrial Technology or related field will be considered
Pay
Commensurate with experience
Schedule
Monday-Friday (7:30 am – 4:00 pm + overtime)
