About the role
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Designers to join our growing engineering team. This is a long-term onsite contract (12+ months) offering the opportunity to work on high-profile aerospace programs in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Use SolidWorks to design and model mechanical systems, aircraft structures, and components
- Create detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and compliance
- Support prototyping, design reviews, production, installation, and testing
- Perform tolerance stack-ups
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs)
- Ensure designs meet FAA, AS9100, and engineering standards
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial manufacturing
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Experience creating mechanical assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
- Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Skills
- Experience with aircraft structures, installations, or aerospace manufacturing
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and AS9100 documentation requirements
