Responsibilities

  • Support projects ranging from major power-plant modifications to smaller design initiatives, including cooling-water systems (pumps, motors, control systems, piping, heat exchangers), valve replacements, equipment evaluations, and technical reports such as corrosion studies.
  • Prepare accurate, error-free drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses that meet industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Develop engineering documents in alignment with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nuclear-sector codes, standards, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques.
  • Produce deliverables that meet stringent quality-assurance standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Build client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure integrated designs.
  • Travel to plant sites for walkdowns and evaluations of structures, systems, and components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing mechanical systems in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
