Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of projects, from major power-plant modifications to smaller design initiatives.
  • Work on multi-discipline engineering teams for cooling-water systems, including pumps, motors, control systems, piping, and heat exchangers for existing or new power plants.
  • Lead valve-replacement projects, evaluate equipment options, and prepare technical reports such as corrosion studies or equipment evaluations.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering documents: prepare accurate drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses that meet industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Adhere to client, ENERCON, and regulatory standards while following established procedures and project directives.
  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, safety-culture principles, and advanced design techniques tailored to the nuclear sector.
  • Produce engineering deliverables that meet stringent quality-assurance standards, aligning with project scopes and exceeding client expectations.
  • Build lasting client relationships through clear communication, professional interactions, and exceptional engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure designs are comprehensive, integrated, and consider the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Travel to plant sites to conduct on-site walkdowns, evaluate plant structures, systems, and components, and connect with client personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing mechanical systems in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects, either directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

The compensation range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. Some positions may be performed remotely in one or more U.S. states, with compensation aligned to applicable pay-transparency requirements.
