Mechanical Design Engineer, Charging

About the role

Model and design mechanical components and assemblies for the Supercharger system.

Perform mechanical design analysis including finite element analysis and design for manufacturing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product specifications and achieve targets.

Develop engineering test plans and assist in prototype builds.

Solve test failures and production problems through root cause analysis.

Create high-quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.

Work on designs that meet outdoor environmental standards and high-volume assembly requirements.

Responsibilities

• Model and design mechanical components and assemblies for the Supercharger system.
• Perform mechanical design analysis including finite element analysis and design for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product specifications and achieve targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in designing for high-volume assembly and manufacturing.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, heat transfer, and fluids.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling; experience with CATIA V5/V6 is a plus.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping and plastic injection molding.
• Experience in defining test plans and analyzing test data.
• Ability to work collaboratively with thermal, systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
