About the role

This role plays an important part in supervising all mechanical activities at the site, monitoring progress, and reporting deviations related to quality, time, cost, and HSSE.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all mechanical construction activities on site, monitoring physical progress and reporting deviations related to quality, schedule, cost, and HSSE.
  • Act as the main point of contact with subcontractors' site management teams and oversee the execution of mechanical works, including trackers and mounting structures, PV modules, fencing, tower erection, and HV/MV mechanical equipment installation.
  • Review and approve construction documentation submitted by contractors, including Method Statements and work procedures, coordinating with the Engineering team when technical validation is required.
  • Support Quality teams in the review of material specifications, component datasheets, and compliance requirements.
  • Plan and lead Pre-Construction Meetings with subcontractors for mechanical activities, ensuring all technical, quality, safety, and execution requirements are aligned and formally agreed before work commencement.
  • Monitor and evaluate contractors’ daily progress, working closely with the Planning team to assess completion forecasts, identify risks, and implement corrective or recovery actions when required.
  • Support quantity surveillance activities for measurable contracts where applicable.
  • Manage technical queries and construction-related issues by coordinating with suppliers, the Lead Engineer, and the Civil Engineer, ensuring works are executed using the latest approved drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Verify that red-marked documentation is maintained, updated, and properly signed throughout construction.
  • Cookordination inspection and quality control activities with SSO and Quality Inspectors, ensuring adequate site coverage for critical activities, audits, witness points, hold points, and compliance verifications.
  • Provide technical support to the PTM, Lead Engineer, and Civil Engineer, contributing to technical assessments, investigations, due diligence reviews, design evaluations, and the resolution of site execution challenges.
  • Support the management of NCRs by following up on the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Participate in final inspections, testing, and project close-out activities, ensuring timely completion of punch lists and the collection, verification, and handover of final documentation, including red-marked drawings and as-built records.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in EPC environments and medium to large-scale construction projects. Solid knowledge of mechanical construction practices, industry standards, and site execution activities. Understanding of Quality Control Systems and problem-solving methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and Ishikawa. Experience in solar PV and/or High Voltage projects is highly desirable. Valid driver's license, strong MS Office skills, and fluency in the local language and English.
