Mechanical Construction Senior Estimator

We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic preconstruction team. In this role, you’ll work on high-profile mechanical projects from the comfort of your home—contributing your expertise to multimillion-dollar jobs without relocating or commuting. You’ll play a vital role in our ability to win work, shape competitive bids, and deliver projects that redefine what’s possible in mechanical construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop detailed and accurate mechanical estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors remotely to clarify scope, pricing, and scheduling
• Develop comprehensive bid packages and client proposals
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
• Maintain up-to-date cost databases and historical pricing metrics
• Provide value engineering options and cost-saving recommendations
• Support strategic preconstruction efforts and client presentations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience estimating mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping)
• Strong portfolio of work
• Proficiency with modern estimating tools such as Trimble AutoBid, ESTmep, FastPIPE/DUCT, Bluebeam, and PlanSwift
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Trade School, Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience preferred
• Relevant certifications or professional licenses are a plus
