About the role
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers at our Knightdale facility.
Responsibilities
- Assemble sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
- Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
- Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- 1+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
- Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
- Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
- Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- SAP experience.
- Salesforce experience.
Pay
$20.36 per hour.
Schedule
6:00am - 2:30pm.
