Mechanical Assembler II
Mechanical Assembler II Duties/Responsibilities
- Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts
- Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses
- Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements
- Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing
- Basic understanding of air systems & operations
- Basic welding
- Console Installation
- Pump Installation
- Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles etc.
- Touch up paint
- Body electrical outfit
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read service and repair manuals
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics
- Ability to learn and work in a team environment
- Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements
- Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or GED or Equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
- Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting
- Must have wrenching experience
- Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
- Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed
- Leadership skills desired
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
Additional Job Information
- This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
- Typical Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5AM - 3:30PM, Overtime may be available on 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
- Location: On Site – 1655 W 10th PL, Tempe, AZ 85281
- Travel: Very minimal to none
