Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring instruments including gage amplifiers, calipers and micrometers.
- Follow detailed blueprints, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
- Perform alignment, calibration, and functional testing of mechanical assemblies.
- Handle and install sensitive components with care and precision.
- Maintain documentation of assembly processes, including travelers, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and quality standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- 0–4 years of mechanical assembly experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take directions from senior staff.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
