Mechanical Assembler

About the role

This role involves assembling modular cooling systems for data centers by reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. You will perform precise mechanical assembly, use various hand and power tools, and ensure components meet strict tolerances and specifications. The position offers growth opportunities in a new, climate-controlled facility with a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and diagrams to assemble large subassemblies and complete units.
• Perform accurate mechanical assembly of modular units and skid assemblies.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, impacts, grinders, and wrenches.
• Operate propane hand torch for applying shrink wrap and other treatments.
• Test and calibrate parts to ensure quality and compliance.
• Handle materials with pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile cranes, operating forklifts safely.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Identify and escalate assembly or calibration issues for corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with assembly and calibration.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and wrenches.
• Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and material handling equipment safely.
• Experience with propane torches for shrink wrap application.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in assembly and testing tasks.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks in a production environment.

Schedule

Work involves day shifts with potential increased hours as production scales up.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
