Mechanical Assembler

Nature Of Duties

• Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions.
• Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products.
• Mechanically assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Assembles components using hand tools and power tools.
• Work with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts.
• Identify product defects and report to appropriate personnel.
• Keep accurate records/logs etc.
• Handle ESD sensitive materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• A strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.
• Safety to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and able to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required).
• Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
