Mechanic Specialist, Level 1-4 (Grand Junction, CO; Carr, CO; Rock Springs, WY; Rawlins, WY)

About the role

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment. Perform heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors, including prime movers and auxiliary units. This position reports to a Crew Leader to ensure consistency in maintenance practices and detailed computer documentation. Note: This position can be located at Kinder Morgan facilities in Car, CO; Grand Junction, CO, Rock Springs, WY or Rawlins, WY.

Responsibilities

• Assess the condition of engine and compressor components and perform required maintenance based on company standards and original manufacturer's specifications.
• Mentor team mates and other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Identify, report, and assist in correcting safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.
• Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
