About the role

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment, performing heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors (including prime movers and auxiliary units). Reports to a Crew Leader to ensure consistent maintenance practices and detailed computer documentation. Position may be located at Kinder Morgan facilities in Car, CO; Grand Junction, CO; Rock Springs, WY; or Rawlins, WY.

Responsibilities

• Assess the condition of engine and compressor components and perform required maintenance based on company standards and original manufacturer's specifications.
• Mentor team mates and other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Identify, report, and assist in correcting safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
