Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and fluid services.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Absorb and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with senior mechanics on complex diagnostics and major repairs.
  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Respond to roadside service calls as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to four years of experience maintaining and repairing diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to diagnose and complete intermediate-level repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
  • Experience with fuel trucks or petroleum equipment is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • Must pass all required pre-employment screenings, including a background check, drug and alcohol screening, and any other evaluations required by law or company policy.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and follow safety protocols.
