Must be physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, crawling, climbing, reaching, lifting heavy objects (up to 100 pounds or more depending on the job), and performing repetitive motions with their hands and arms, often while working in tight spaces. This job requires good overall strength, dexterity, and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, company, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components, including refrigerated units, diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and other components or systems.
• Perform tire maintenance, including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification.
• May be required to test drive equipment if certified.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that facilitates business operations.
• Proactively assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Requirements

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
• High School diploma or combination of training and/or experience required.
• Driver’s license required.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and complete/fill tags and repair orders.
• Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.75 - $29.68 hourly.
