About the role
Graphic Packaging International is a leading manufacturer of paperboard and paper-based packaging. This role is a journey-level millwright position responsible for troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Providing technical support by operating a variety of equipment in locating and determining types of mechanical malfunctions within the mill.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, tables, charts, formulas, and equipment instruction manuals.
- Aligning equipment to specified tolerances.
- Possessing good knowledge of metallurgy and other materials for fabrication processes.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment including centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators.
- Proficient in burning and welding techniques.
- Capable of working in a physically intense environment, lifting up to 74 pounds, and performing tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and climbing.

Desired Background
- 3-5 years of industrial experience as a first-class millwright.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Understanding of installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in paper mills or similar industries.
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
