Mechanic Feedmill Lvl B

About the role

The primary responsibility of this position is to repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust equipment and machines within the feed mill to ensure optimal performance. This includes executing work orders and performing preventative maintenance and repairs for all feed mill-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute work orders and perform preventative maintenance and repair for all feed mill related equipment.
• Detect potential mechanical and electrical problems, maintaining the required written records including work performed, corrective actions, and installed replacement parts.
• Inspect feed mill equipment daily, detect potential mechanical and electrical problems and implement solutions.
• Conduct consistent hourly checks on boiler room.
• Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problems.
• Maintain required written records/reports for work performed, corrective actions and parts management.
• Manage requisitions and inventory.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Perform lock out/tag out procedures and manage Process Safety Management related matters.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training in mechanics, experience in manufacturing settings preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with 3-phase electric, hydraulics, and ability to handle a variety of mechanical tasks such as manual blow downs, changing sight glasses, regenerating softeners, changing out pipe fittings, and housekeeping.
