Mechanic Feedmill Lvl B
About the role
The primary responsibility of this position is to repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and adjust equipment and machines to ensure optimal performance within the feed mill.
Responsibilities
- Execute work orders and perform preventative maintenance and repairs for all feed mill related equipment.
- Detect potential mechanical and electrical problems, maintaining the required written records including work performed, corrective actions, and installed replacement parts.
- Inspect feed mill equipment daily, detect potential issues, and implement solutions.
- Conduct consistent hourly checks on the boiler room.
- Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problems.
- Maintain required written records/reports for work performed, corrective actions, and parts management.
- Manage requisitions and inventory.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
- Follow lock out/tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training in mechanics, experience in manufacturing settings preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with 3-phase electric, hydraulics, and ability to handle various mechanical tasks such as manual blow downs, changing sight glasses, regenerating softeners, changing pipe fittings, and housekeeping.
Qualifications
Essential functions include the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to respond to emergencies and shift changes.

Pay
Compensation details are confidential and will be provided upon successful completion of the hiring process.
Schedule
Shift: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday through Friday
On-Call: Once every 4 weeks
