Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Proper completion of all paperwork related to the assigned task
• Provide information to the Lead Mechanic for shift turnovers, and enter information on the shift turnover form in the absence of the Lead Mechanic
• Notify Inspection when task requires, or becomes an RII action
• Segregate and identify upon removal, all repair station/customer components
• Possess and maintain an adequate number and quality of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks
• Ensure all tools are accounted for and/or returned to the tool room at shift’s end
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals and other approved documents
• Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems
• Cookordinate work with that of engineers, technicians and other aircraft maintenance personnel
• Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems
• Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems in aircraft using hand tools, power tools or soldering irons
• Adjust or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies
• Connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters and in-flight refueling systems, using hand tools and soldering irons
• Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls and junction boxes using hand tools or soldering irons
• Fabricate parts and test aids as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned
