Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Read basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints to troubleshoot equipment.
• Create job kits for maintenance jobs including repairs, new equipment installation, and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and maintain piping systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, gas).
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Able to work at heights.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Follow instructions and respond to management direction.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Exercise strong communication skills and be a good team player.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide improvement suggestions to increase quality, production, and safety.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, 1 year of related industrial mechanical experience (including technical/classroom training), successfully pass Arconic Mechanical Top Rate Test, legal authorization to work in the United States, and completion of an approved apprentice program or technical training.
• PREFERRED Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, 2+ years mechanical maintenance experience, 3G and/or 6G welding certification, experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and applications, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including Microsoft Office experience.
