Mechanic

About the role

America’s Auto Auction (AAA) is growing and seeks a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of mechanical experience, preferably from an auction, dealership, or fleet setting. ASE Certification and experience with electric vehicles are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use computerized equipment to identify vehicle problems
• Perform mechanical inspections and basic to moderate repairs on auction vehicles
• Diagnose drivability issues, safety concerns, and mechanical failures
• Assist with preparing vehicles for sale, including quick fixes and test drives
• Collaborate with the inspection and reconditioning teams to meet deadlines
• Keep repair documentation clear and complete
• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical experience required
• ASE Certified and/or EV Experience preferred
• Ability to work with a wide range of vehicle types, years, and conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• A strong work ethic, team mindset, and pride in your craft
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
