Responsibilities
- Schedule repairs and maintenance around campus facility occupancy with emphasis on safety and code compliance.
- Maintain inventory and source materials including tools and equipment.
- Perform general and specialized building repair maintenance and operations tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, events setups, snow removal, and other tasks as assigned.
- Work independently and solve problems.
- Order and inventory materials.
- Communicate effectively using commercial/educational building maintenance processes, including record keeping, inventory, sourcing, blueprint reading, and computer skills.
- Manage workflow and estimate work hours required for assigned tasks.
- Repair, maintain, and operate typical HVAC systems, specifically including steam heat exchanger, hot water boilers and circulators, cooling towers, and DDC controls systems.
- Work unsupervised on assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the field of trade.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and/or trade school certification.
- Current HVAC refrigeration license.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid NYS driver license.
