About the role
Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle.
Responsibilities
- Applies comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.
- Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others.
- Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.
- Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.
- Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management.
- Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
Requirements
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 2-6+ years of related experience. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
- Experience with air hydraulic system.
- Rebuilding pumps and valves of various types.
- Must be able to operate hydraulics.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior Navy experience a plus.
- Prefer Aircraft and Weapons Elevator technician experience on CVN class ships.
- Prefer technical/professional certifications.
