Mech/Elec Technician (Solidworks CAD Experience Required)

About the Role
As a Mech/Elec Technician, you will install, operate, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment, including automated and robotic parts, integral to our solid rocket motor propellant production facilities. You will also own mechanical design from concepts through drawing release for hardware required for site operations and program support. Success in this role means identifying blockers, guiding processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, and meeting schedule goals for installation, commissioning, and deployment of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level facilities.
To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated success in mechanical hardware installation, repair, and selection and/or electrical/instrumentation/controls/data expertise. An aptitude for hands-on assembly and integration is required.
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment, including automated and robotic systems.
- Own mechanical design from concepts through drawing release for hardware required for site operations and program support.
- Identify blockers and guide processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls.
- Meet schedule goals for installation, commissioning, and deployment of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level facilities.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience with installation/testing/commissioning of mechanical, electrical/controls, and fluidic systems/facilities.
- Experience servicing pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, instrumentation, data acquisition, power supplies, PLC panels, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers/technicians.
- Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands-on dis-assembly/assembly and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must be a US Person as defined by 120.62 of the ITAR.
