MEAT/WRAPPER

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display meat items for sale in accordance with company standards and policies.
• Wait on customers and provide prompt, cheerful service at the counter.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area, including sales floors, backrooms, coolers, carts, tools, and supplies.
• Keep floors safe and free from clutter; ensure display cases have proper inventory levels and freshness.
• Check product quality, ensure freshness, safety, and proper rotation of merchandise.
• Unload trucks, sort, and prepare merchandise for sale.
• Wash and sanitize equipment according to company and health‑department policies.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely and in good working order.
• Follow all company, state, and federal regulations, including food safety, OSHA compliance, and dress‑code/grooming standards.
• Demonstrate company leadership behaviors and core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
• Provide good customer and associate relations, handling stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Willingness and availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment such as automatic wrappers, slicers, grinders, power saws, and jacks.
• Capability to work safely with chemically based cleaning solutions.
• Team‑oriented attitude in a fast‑paced environment; willingness to assist all department members.
• Ability to handle stressful situations tactfully and maintain a positive impression on customers and associates.
• Desired experience in meat handling or similar food‑preparation roles.
• Demonstrated dependability and integrity in past work history.
• Knowledge of applicable employment laws, OSHA regulations, and food‑handling standards.
