Meat Service Counter Clerk

About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role is at the meat and seafood counter, where you'll offer premium products and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and recommend cuts of meat and seafood
• Handle special orders
• Maintain product quality and freshness
• Restock and rotate product
• Ensure a clean, organized department
• Support the team as needed

Requirements

• A guest-first mindset and strong communication skills
• Familiarity with safe food handling, inventory practices, and department equipment
• Attention to detail in labeling, temperature control, and cleanliness
• A team-focused attitude and willingness to assist

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a customer-facing role preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Skills

• Customer service skills
• Knowledge of safe food handling
• Basic inventory practices
• Department equipment familiarity (slicers, trash compactors)

Pay

$10.50 - $12.50 per hour, depending on experience
