Lauderdale, FL 33315We Deliver the Goods:Competitive pay and benefits, including Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K Employer Matching, Education Assistance, Paid Time Off, and much moreGrowth opportunities performing essential work to support America’s food distribution systemSafe and inclusive working environment, including culture of rewards, recognition, and respectPosition Summary:The primary function of this position is to pack meat in boxes, seal, label and stack finished product on pallets according to work order specifications and customer preferences, as well as assemble boxes, clean packaging area and equipment ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and to maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process.Position Responsibilities:Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operationsCheck cutting list and obtain appropriate packaging materials (boxes, labels, tape, bags, wrap) from storage with pallet jackManually assemble boxes-cases, make labels and fill Cryovac sealer with appropriate wrap as requiredLoad finished cuts of meat from tubs into Cryovac sealer, raise and lower doors as required and place sealed meat on work-tableManually pack meat into cases, label and seal cases with tape gun / or strapping machine and stack finished cases on palletsPerform general housekeeping duties, clean packaging work area and equipment, maintain and abide safety and quality regulations and standards as requiredAt the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience: 1+ year experience in the food service industry or food production environment. Skills Ability to stand for extended periods, up to six hours per day Ability and willingness to work in cold environments such as refrigerated storage or meat processing facilities Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 80 lbs throughout the shift on a regular basis.Company description Cheney Brothers recognizes the prosperity of our company is built on the efforts of our employees.
