MEAT/MEAT CUTTER

Responsibilities

• Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, serve customers
• Unload trucks, sort orders, place in proper cooler location
• Wash and sanitize equipment
• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates
• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully
• Increase store sales and profits
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults

Requirements

• Minimum Willing to work weekends and holidays
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels
• Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling

Qualifications

• Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity
