Company Meat Market Cleaning Associates create an exceptional customer service experience by ensuring the meat department is properly cleaned to create a safe and presentable shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
  • Clean floors, counters, equipment, tools, etc. in the meat department.
  • Stock various types of meat into the meat cooler displays.
  • Wrap meats for display.
  • Stock cases with appropriate items while ensuring conditioning and display of merchandise are done in accordance with Company standards.
  • Ensure sections are rotated 100% as they are stocked.
  • Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate/customer accidents.
  • Assist in ensuring a clean environment throughout the store by wiping spills, sweeping floors, removing litter, mopping, etc.
  • Provide assistance to co-workers.
  • Comply with safety standards while reporting malfunctioning equipment as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills, creating an excellent store experience by stocking shelves/units appropriately, offering assistance, and maintaining a friendly and polite attitude.
  • Ability to memorize the department layout and product locations to assist with customer inquiries and efficiently locate items.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills with both customers and coworkers.
  • Knowledge of and experience complying with equipment, safety principles, practices, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people and property.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules through the day, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to safely operate heavy and sharp tools/equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 100 pounds with frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and inspecting work sites.
  • Work is performed indoors in a refrigerated climate-controlled setting.
