Meat Department Manager

Role Overview: Lead daily retail store operations, ensuring staff training, full staffing, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory ordering, maintenance, and quality control to ensure freshness and proper storage.Review and validate received products, monitor stock levels, and oversee product rotation and spoilage handling.Supervise team tasks including stocking, production, and ensuring product quality.Maintain product knowledge, promote sales features, and ensure execution of weekly plans.Follow policies using management tools for scheduling, labor, and payroll control.Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and implement strategies to meet KPIs.Ensure compliance with food safety and safety guidelines, taking corrective actions as needed.Manage staffing, training, performance, and development of associates.Participate in meetings and communicate store plans effectively. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience and supervisory background preferred.Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and leadership skills.Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; standing and walking for extended periods.Depending on location, Spanish fluency is highly desirable. Physical & Other Requirements: Must meet physical demands of the role, including lifting, standing, and environmental adaptability. Travel may be required.
