Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers by providing a well- stocked, attractive department; this includes cutting, packaging and merchandising product. Speak to local and organic meat and seafood options. Take pride in your work and work area. Work effectively and efficiently within a team environment. Must have good work ethic, superior customer service skills and ability to work independently with speed and accuracy. Serve Safe certified is preferred. The purpose of this position is to give exceptional customer service to shoppers by providing a well- stocked, attractive department; this includes cutting, packaging and merchandising products. Requirements Stock, rotate and maintain the cases within the department, sustaining a full and fresh appearanceAssist manager in creating attractive displays with uniform signageCut and grind meats as directed by the department managers or leadsAdhere to health and safety standards and practices for department meat cutting and handlingFollow Co-op recipes to make marinades and sausagePrepare and package products with appropriate labels while giving products a professional and appealing appearanceAssist training co-workers in department knowledge and operationsPlace orders with vendors as directed by managers or leadsPlan attractive displays with uniform signage; ensure displays are fully stocked, rotated, and fronted to ensure freshness and abundanceEnsure accurate, up-to-date price, ingredient, and date labeling of itemsAssist in planning and implementing seasonal programs Department Maintenance Ensure food prep, work area, utensils, equipment and display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting or exceeding health department standardsFollow USDA and NH State Law regarding the use, labeling, and handling of allergensFollow standard Sanitation Operating Procedures schedule including: deep cleaning schedules, good health department scores, pest awareness and control, and equipment maintenanceEnsure proper storage and labeling procedures as per health department and organic standardsParticipate in inventory counts as directed by managementFollow and update opening and closing checklistsMonitor temperatures in cooler, freezer and cases Qualifications The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
