Meat Cutter

Role Overview: The Meat Cutter handles meat products, performing tasks such as receiving, processing, cutting, trimming, packaging, weighing, pricing, and labeling meat in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. They provide attentive customer service and maintain a clean, organized work area. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare meat products according to policies and regulationsMaintain proper storage temperatures and sanitation standardsEnsure adequate inventory levels and proper product rotationPromote sales through friendly customer interactionsSupport store operations and assist when staff are absentAchieve sales and profit goals while minimizing waste and shrinkage Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of meat preparation and cutsAbility to read, write, perform basic math, and operate relevant equipmentPhysical ability to handle loads up to 100 lbs, stand, walk, and work in temperatures down to 30°FExperience with meat preparation in retail stores (1-2 years preferred) Additional Information: The role requires initiative, safety awareness, productivity, and attendance. The position involves working primarily during first shift in a store environment.
