About the role

Cuts and trims raw meat for sale using saws, knives, grinder, and tenderizer while providing a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim meat to Costco specification using band saw and knives.
• Operate tenderizing machine and meat grinder, checking fat content of each batch.
• Transfer cut and ground meat to styrofoam trays and load onto wheeled racks for wrappers.
• Follow safety, security, and health code procedures, including sanitation standards and temperature control.
• Assist with wrapping tasks, including re-wrapping fish, and stocking meat display cases according to merchandising plans.
• Transport cases of meat (up to 99 lbs) from cooler to preparation areas and restock supplies.
• Inspect, reassemble, and sanitize equipment; rework display cases to assess daily production needs and rotate product.
• Clean and sanitize work areas throughout the day, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and implements.
• Provide prompt and courteous member service.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery as required.
• Assist with department duties and in other warehouse departments as necessary.
