Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both the fresh and frozen meat cases.
• Update product pricing as necessary.
• Ensure product quality, protection, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensure a great customer experience.
• Maintain pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keep meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Assist with advertising department products.
• Start time: 5:00 am.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 1+ years of meat department experience.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment typical of an office and retail store with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud.
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions; protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Walk and work in freezer and refrigerator cooler as needed throughout the day.
