About the role
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and accuracy of natural gas measurement and control facilities. Duties include operating flow computers, chromatographs, contaminant analyzers, regulators, transducers, electronic and pneumatic controllers, relief valves, ultrasonic meters, rotary meters, turbine meters, positive displacement meters, and valves. Responsibilities also involve responding to after-hour "call-outs" and performing audits of custody transfer and control data.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain & operate, measurement equipment
- Detect measurement errors and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation
- Maintain and apply corrections and proper qualities to assigned area measurement systems
- Assess all aspects of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement while maintaining the company "Lost and Unaccounted For" gas within established corporate goals
- Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary
- Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics about EFM (Electronic Flow Measurement) and measurement electronics
- Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties
- Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment and controls
- Ability to perform basic mechanical work associated with natural gas facilities
- Participate in federal inspections
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
- Work performance strives for operational excellence focusing on safety, compliance, efficiency, environmental awareness, and superb technical skills
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions and with minimal direct supervision
- Able to work non-traditional hours as needed
Qualifications
- Education: Associates degree in a technical field or related discipline. Relevant work experience may be considered instead of a degree.
- Experience: Basic math skills, knowledge of electronic test instruments, knowledge of gas chromatography, familiarity with AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards, good record of safe work practices, familiarity with DOT regulations, intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Certifications/Licenses: Must achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties and applicable to the job classification.

Physical Demands
- Lift up to 66 pounds from the floor to waist level
- Carry objects weighing up to 66 pounds over a distance of 5 feet, and lightweight items (approximately 5 pounds) over 300 feet
- Perform fine motor movements, grasping, pinching, and handling vibratory tools
- Perform various spinal motions including bending, twisting, pivoting, and lateral flexion, as well as neck movements like extension, flexion, rotation, and lateral flexion
