Measurement Tech

Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate Oxy owned metering equipment
• Witness third party measurement activities for both operational and revenue oil and gas meters
• Conduct internal measurement audits for all custody sales records
• Document compliance with the Oxy Measurement Standards
• Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all Oil/Water/Gas measurement activities
• Collaborate with Operations personnel to ensure all measurement activities are followed per the Oxy Measurement Standards in addition to appropriate BLM, COGCC, API/MPMS and AGA guidelines
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance for measurement activities
• Ensure compliance with the Oxy Measurement Standards, regulatory requirements, API and AGA guidelines
• Communicate with Measurement Leader, Operations, Regulatory and Production Accounting on issues or errors in reporting
• Provide measurement support for non-custody transfer metering such as well test, operational metering, and validation (check) measurement and Allocation Measurement
• Supports the Seminole CO2 Gas Plant, EOR NGL Stream and Hobbs CO2
• Troubleshoot custody and non-custody meters
• Schedule allocation and LACT meter proving witnessing along with sample pot witnessing
• Gather Gas Samples and deliver them to the Labs
• Supports ORCM Internal Measurement Audit documentation
• Support Automation in the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Qualifications

• Currently there are ~ a total of 529 Gas Meters in OxyRock. 69 Custody Gas Meters, 461 Gas Allocation Meters, plus gas Sampling. ~70 + 7 Day Chart Recorders in the Denver City area along with ~30 monthly gas calibration meters.
• Experience with Oxy Measurement Standards, API and AGA guidelines
• Knowledge of BLM, COGCC, and API/MPMS guidelines
• Ability to troubleshoot custody and non-custody meters
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with Operations personnel and communicate with Measurement Leader, Operations, Regulatory and Production Accounting
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on measurement activities
• Proficiency in data collection, identification, and resolution of measurement errors
• Experience with gas sampling and delivery to labs
• Experience with automation in the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Skills
