Job Functions and Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and calibrate turbine, Coriolis, ultrasonic, and orifice meters
- Install, maintain and calibration of pressure, temperature and other transmitters
- Install, maintain radio and cell communications
- Make orifice plate changes to accommodate customer flow rates
- Resolve measurement issues, including accounting for unaccounted for product
- Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment components and perform maintenance as necessary
- Ability to monitor and analyze measurement data and the ability to react to this data
- Interface with gas control and plant operations
- Installation, and maintenance of various flow computers
- Interpersonal skills required to interface with customers and all other crafts
- Maintain clean and safe working environment
- Make any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe
- Maintain accurate records shutdown and safety checks
- Maintain all required documentation for process safety management
- Operate a company vehicle
- Maintain the company vehicle at all times to ensure safety and equipment that will be used to operate
- Maintain tools and equipment issued
- Work weekends and overtime on an as needed basis
Minimum Essential Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work team
- Must become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
Prior to Qualifications
- Two year associates degree in instrumentation or equivalent on the job training
- Two years’ experience in petrochemical industry
- Experience working in a team environment, self-starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well with peers and other crafts
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.
- Able to work in changing climate conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
